The objective of level one is to orientate students to the origins, evidence-based, and central philosophy of Emotion-Focused Therapy. Foundational skills are demonstrated and then practiced with plenty of time for questions and discussion.

• Attending moment by moment
• Attunement
• Empathy based tasks
• Working alliance
• Emotional arousal
• Grounding/Safe place
• Emotion response styles
• Emotion Processing

Pre-requisite: This level is suitable for all participants who have a basic foundation in counselling skills.

• This workshop is limited to 6 people.
• The address is Level 1, 16a Toorak Road.
• The centre is upstairs in an old building which regrettably does not yet have lift access.
• Full reading pack supplied upon completion of registration.
• Students: available on request (limited places). Other discounts do not apply.
• Registrations may be transferred to another participant, however refunds cannot be issued non-attendance or cancellation 30 days or less prior to the workshop. Cancellations of more than 30 days will incur a $50 admin charge.
• Catering: morning & afternoon tea are provided. Please bring a plate to share for lunch.
